Sunshine Coast Stadium

Sunshine Coast Stadium is part of the Kawana Sports Precinct and is run by Sunshine Coast Council.

Sunshine Coast Stadium is located at 31 Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina. Just over an hours drive North of Brisbane, QLD.

It is located in Bokarina as the premier facility for sport, leisure and events. Kawana Sports Precinct consists of SC Stadium, a High Performance Training Facility, Western Fields (a 3 minute drive from the Stadium) and Lake Kawana (located across the street from the Stadium on Sportsmans Parade).

We also work closely with the Kawana Aquatic Centre located on the South side of the Stadium and often integrate their facilities with our own to create optimal training and training camp experiences for athletes.

The Stadium hosts an array of events including international, national, state and local games across codes, training camps, community events as well as major music and entertainment events. The Stadium has seven fields, all fully lit, with a quality in-house PA system. The grandstand consists of 1050 seats with 2000 temporary seats situated on either side of it. It includes six corporate boxes for hire that overlook the main field to have a VIP experience while watching live entertainment.

In between events we also have corporate spaces available to hire for meetings or functions. We offer a full catering service, use of audio visual equipment, set up and take down of seating and tables and spectacular views of Lake Kawana.

Sunshine Coast Stadium is home to Sunshine Coast Falcons and Sunshine Coast FC Fire. We also hire out our facilities to Brothers Junior Rugby Union, Kawana Junior and Senior Rugby League, Kawana Soccer Club, Kawana Touch Association, Sunshine Coast Churches Soccer Association, Sunshine Coast Rugby Union and Sunshine Coast Spartans Gridiron. We have hosted an array of major events that range from the Color Run to a Cold Chisel concert, the ROC Race (Ridiculous Obstacle Challenge) to the 2016 World Outrigger Sprint Championships.

LOCATION
Sunshine Coast Stadium, Eastern Fields, Western Fields, Lake Kawana and Kawana Aquatic Centre make up Kawana Sports Precinct, which is centrally located on the Sunshine Coast in Kawana over 45 hectares.

By car, Sunshine Coast Stadium is about an hour away from Brisbane Airport, 15 minutes from Caloundra, 15 minutes from Mooloolaba, 17 minutes from Alexandra Headlands and 13 minutes from Maroochydore. There is also public transportation available; most bus routes stop outside the main entrance to Kawana Sports Precinct off the Nicklin way.

Parking
Park & Walk
Take the opportunity to park around Lake Kawana and walk along the scenic path to the venue.
Parking is available at various location around the Lake with walking paths to Sunshine Coast Stadium. Onsite paid car parking will be available and is payable by cash or Eftpos. Maps showing the various parking locations and entry points will be released prior to major events.

Parking restrictions apply throughout Bokarina. Parking on nature strips, areas of open space and parkland is not permitted and we have been advised the fines of up to $375 may be issued per vehicle parked illegally. Please also be considerate of residents by not parking across driveways.

Pick Up / Drop Off Zones
For major events, pick up and drop off zones will be located on Sportsmans Parade and Nicklin Way. These areas will be clearly marked so patrons are aware of where they are located.

Uber
Uber is available on the Sunshine Coast for patrons to utilise to get to and from the Sunshine Coast Stadium. Patrons will need to have the Uber app activated on the Smartphone in order to use this service.

Public Transportation
Cycle
Bicycle racks are located at the Southern end of the Stadium on Sportsmans Parade.

Carpool
If you are driving to the Sunshine Coast Stadium, how about filling the seats in your car and travelling with a friend or two? Carpooling is a great way to save some petrol money and reduces the number of cars on the road, therefore reducing pollution and traffic congestion at the venue. Plus you'll only have to find one car park instead of two.

Buses
Bus Routes 600 and 602 run North and South along Nicklin Way on a regular basis. Patrons can disembark at the following stops:
