From watching American aviator Arthur Burr Stone land on the Main Arena during the first flight ever over Brisbane to the Showgrounds being used as a World War II field hospital. Who can forget the worlds greatest batsman Sir Donald Bradman making his test debut or those who saw a little known band called Powderfinger perform at the iconic Livid Festival in 1997. The RNA Showgrounds continues to evolve and innovate to ensure the next generation can experience and capture lifelong warm memories.

Visiting the Brisbane Showgrounds

The Brisbane Showgrounds is located just 1.5km from the city's CBD in Bowen Hills.

It's bordered by Bowen Bridge Road, O'Connell Terrace, Brookes Street and St Paul's Terrace and is home to the state-of-the-art Royal International Convention Centre (Royal ICC), a four and a half star Rydges Hotel and vibrant King Street dining hub.

It's also in walking distance of Fortitude Valley, which boasts some of the best boutique shopping in Brisbane along with a diverse range of entertainment options.

Disability Access

The Brisbane Showgrounds is designed to provide exceptional services and facilities to all visitors.
The Royal ICC is wheelchair accessible on both levels and designated car parking spaces are located on ground level. Wheelchairs are also available from the Customer Relations team.

Individual accessibility restrooms are located on both the upper and lower levels of the Royal ICC and there is one ambulant toilet within each bathroom location.

Public Transport

Public transport is easily accessible and Brisbane's Domestic and International Airports are just a quick 15 minute taxi ride away.

Taxis
The main taxi companies are Black and White Cabs (ph. 13 32 22) and Yellow Cabs (ph. 13 19 24).

Rideshare
Rideshare apps, such as Uber and GoCatch, enable you to connect with a ride. The driver will pick you up from your selected location and payment is cashless.

Trains
Bowen Hills and Fortitude Valley railway stations are less than a 10 minute walk from the Brisbane Showgrounds.

You can also choose to ride the CityGlider buses, which provide high-frequency transport from West End to Teneriffe and Ashgrove to Stones Corner, while the free City Loop bus service is perfect for exploring the CBD.
