Brisbane Riverstage |
Riverstage is an iconic, outdoor entertainment venue located on the Brisbane River in the City Botanic Gardens, Brisbane City.
Riverstage has hosted acclaimed local, national and international acts including Ed Sheeran, Florence and the Machine, Powderfinger and The Chemical Brothers. Riverstage also hosts community events, including the annual Lord Mayor's Christmas Carols.
Situated within the City Botanic Gardens next to the Brisbane River, Riverstage plays host to many local, national and international concerts and events throughout the year, along with free family and community concerts and events.

Getting to Riverstage
Public transport is recommended due to the lack of public car parking near the venue.
By Bus
There are bus stops on Alice Street outside the City Botanic Gardens.
To get to Riverstage from Alice Street:
-:- Enter the City Botanic Gardens main entrance (opposite Albert Street) and follow the main path through the Gardens.
-:- Continue past the City Gardens Cafe. This path will take you to the top of the Riverstage complex.

By Train
To get to the City Botanic Gardens you can stop at either:
South Bank Railway Station.
-:- Follow the signs to the Maritime Museum/Goodwill Bridge.
-:- Cross the Goodwill Bridge. This will take you to the bottom of the Riverstage complex and the gate entrance.
The distance from the rail station to Riverstage is approximately 1.1 kilometres and walking time is approximately 20 minutes.
Central Station
-:- Exit out onto Ann Street and walk down to Edward Street (the end of Edward Street becomes Alice Street).
-:- Follow Alice Street to the City Botanic Gardens main entrance (opposite Albert Street) and follow the main path through the gardens.
-:- Continue past the City Gardens Cafe. This path will take you to the top of the Riverstage complex.
The distance from the rail station to Riverstage is approximately 2 kilometres and walking time is approximately 25 minutes.
By Private Coach
Visit the Contact Us page at www.brisbane.qld.gov.au to arrange drop-off and pick-up zones if you use private coach.
By Car
-:- Travel up Alice Street, Brisbane (past the City Botanic Gardens).
-:- Once you pass Government House, keep in the far left lane.
-:- Exit left at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) sign into Gardens Point Road, before you reach the Riverside Expressway. Follow this road as it runs beside QUT.
-:- You will reach a roundabout with a tree in the centre. Following the roundabout is a pedestrian/car shared zone. Immediately after this, on your right, is the Riverstage driveway.
During an event, the road will be closed from the roundabout. The roundabout becomes a pick-up/drop-off zone.
Car parking
Disabled parking is available at the rear of the Gardens Cafe approximately 50 metres from the Riverstage. There is a drop-off and pick-up area at Gardens Point Road behind QUTs Gardens Point campus.
A levelled off area at the front of the stage is suitable for wheelchairs.
There is no other parking at Riverstage. Howe'ver, you can park at South Bank and take a short stroll over the Goodwill Bridge.
