Eagle Farm Racecourse

Eagle Farm Racecourse

Brisbane Racing Club (BRC) hosts glamorous race days, weddings, events, conferences and meetings at its Eagle Farm Racecourse, located about 7 km from the Brisbane CBD.

It is one of two race tracks operated by the BRC and hosted its first race meeting in 1865.

Eagle Farm's beautifully landscaped grounds feature heritage-listed Victorian and Federation buildings, restored betting auditoriums, and historic ornate gates and pillars.

The racecourse boasts a versatile mix of indoor and outdoor function spaces with first-class, modern facilities that suit multiple event types. Function spaces include the elegant Guineas Room, the luxurious Ascot Bar, the Moreton Dining Room with spectacular track views, the indoor-outdoor Society Rooftop, and the unique Tote Room.

A highlight is the super screen on the track, the largest in the Southern Hemisphere, which is a special feature for outdoor events and functions.
The racecourse is well-served by public transport, with a train station on site, and there is complimentary on-site parking for guests.

Brisbane Racing Club

The Brisbane Racing Club was formed on 1 July, 2009 - the result of a merger between the then Queensland Turf Club and Brisbane Turf Club. The amalgamation of these two clubs was a first of its kind for the Australian racing industry.

As the leading metropolitan race club in Queensland, the BRC hosts more than 75 race meetings and more than 150,000 patrons each year across its Eagle Farm and Doomben tracks.

Highlights on each year's racing calendar include The Star Stradbroke Season (May/June), Ladbrokes Spring Racing Carnival (October/November), and Road to Magic Millions Summer Carnival (December). These racing events feature black type racing which generates significant interest from the public, media and industry.

The Star Stradbroke Season in particular showcases champion horses, trainers and jockeys from around Australia and New Zealand as well as first-class trackside hospitality and entertainment. Part of the Queensland Racing Carnival, Stradbroke Season is an iconic event on Brisbane's social calendar and incorporates six exciting race days: Sky Racing Guineas Day, Ladbrokes Doomben 10,000 Day, XXXX Doomben Cup day, Ladbrokes Derby Day, Seven Oaks Day and The Star Stradbroke Day.

Other BRC feature race days during the year include Girls Day Out (February), Mekka Raceday (August), Country Music Raceday (September) and Melbourne Cup Day (November).
