Port Douglas Carnivale |
18-26 May | The Port Douglas Carnivale is a 10 day celebration of life in the tropics, its pleasures, weather, culture, art and cuisine, and for its 2012 return, its shaking this up a little.
The first weekend of Carnivale (18 - 20 May) will be a food and wine festival, with all the popular food events including Longest Lunch, Palates of Port, Food Wine and a Taste of Port and Seafood Extravaganza held over the one weekend.
The second weekend (25- 26 May) will have the Street Parade (25 May) and Beach Day (26 May). During the week there will be lots of other events including the Carnivale Club at the iconic Sugar Wharf, making Carnivale a fabulous experience for locals and visitors.
Throughout the festival there will be 30 - 40 events with food being a primary focus. Other events will include special dining experiences, Chef competitions, Masquerade ball, fashion show, beach day, yacht racing and a variety of musical and art entertainment.
There will be something for everyone! Come along!
