UniSC Stadium - University of Sunshine Coast

University of Sunshine Coast Stadium is an indoor arena at the Sippy Downs Campus which is the home venue of Super Netball team Sunshine Coast Lightning.

The arena was originally upgraded to host the Lightning in 2017, increasing the seating capacity from 320 to 2,000 with two new retractable grandstands at the northern and southern sides forming the new-look show court.

National-standard air-conditioned indoor sports stadium

The University's A$24 million indoor sports stadium is national-accredited, fully air-conditioned and seats more than 3,000 spectators.

The sports stadium is home to the Sunshine Coast Lightning, the Sunshine Coast's first national sports team.

They play home games and train alongside local school and grassroots athletes who also use the facilities.

The facility caters to a range of sports, at all levels of competition.

Due to high demand, the sports stadium was re-developed in 2019 to provide refurbished athlete and public facilities and additional seating.

The sports stadium has:

1 international-sized futsal court
1 indoor hockey court
timber sports thrust floor
6 large toilet/changeroom areas
tiered spectator seating
a total floor size of 3,705 square metres

1 netball-specific drop-in floor
corporate box and multi-purpose function room
