Old Redcliffe Fire Station Arts Complex

The Old Fire Station Community Arts and Volunteer Hub is a Redcliffe art gallery located along the peninsular; showcasing some of the finest local art.

This facility holds exhibitions of some of greatest art pieces of the Moreton Bay Region and beyond. Home to the Redcliffe Art Society, Redcliffe Pottery Group and Moreton Bay Arts Council; this hub aims to encourage appreciation of the finest arts in this region.

Redcliffe Fire Station is a heritage-listed former fire station built from 1948 to 1949 by Alex Smith. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 6 September 2005.

Old Fire Station Turned Arts and Volunteer Hub
Recently refurbished, as of 2015, this Redcliffe Art Gallery was once the Old Fire Station. In 2005 it was heritage listed before its closure in 2008, after 59 years of service in protecting the community. The Moreton Bay Regional Council has spent $2 million dollars into turning it into the great arts and volunteer hub that it is today.

Hirers of this facility are rewarded with full use of this hub including its meeting room (which can hold up to 40 people), breakout lounge and kitchenette. It is open for hire from 9:00am to 9:30pm. The gallery shop hours are 10:00am to 3:00pm from Wednesday to Sunday for all members of the public to appreciate.

Home to Moreton Bay Artists
Moreton Bay artists come from far and wide to become members of the Redcliffe Art Society. There are over 400 members of this group, half of which come to attend their pick of 17 art classes each week. The Redcliffe Art Society educates local artists of Redcliffe and the Moreton Bay Region through regular workshops. You don't have to be skilled to create or enjoy Brisbane art as newcomers are also encouraged to join.

Each month The Old Fire Station Community Arts and Volunteer Hub have a new exhibition and it's greatly valued by the community.
