"They Might Be Giants a musical duo consisting of John Flansburgh and John Linnell have been performing together since 1982.

Their onstage chemistry and witty banter are a highlight of their live shows. Over the years they've evolved from a duo with a drum machine to a full band.

Their performances feature a diverse range of songs from their extensive catalog spanning multiple albums EPs and compilations.

They seamlessly transition from energetic Middle Eastern-inspired rock-outs to stripped-down acoustic renditions of fan favorites.

Their repertoire includes children's songs and award-winning film and TV themes making them a versatile and captivating live act."

They Might Be Giants in Concert

John Flansburgh and John Linnell who initially met as teenagers in Massachusetts started writing songs together during high school.

After a brief separation for college they reunited in Brooklyn in 1981 and embarked on a successful music career.

They gained local popularity for their unique instruments and quirky song topics which included tracks like "(She Was A) Hotel Detective" and "Youth Culture Killed My Dog" on their 1986 self-titled debut album.

They were innovative in their distribution methods utilizing a phone service called Dial-A-Song where callers could hear new songs and fake ads.

This foreshadowed their pioneering use of the internet releasing the first MP3-only album in 1999 and starting podcasting in 2005.

Their breakthrough came after signing with Elektra in 1989 with their 1990 album "Flood" going platinum thanks to the MTV-supported single "Birdhouse in Your Soul."

Their cover of "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)" was featured on Steven Spielberg's Tiny Toon Adventures along with "Particle Man."

They contributed songs to various film and TV shows such as Malcolm in the Middle The Daily Show with Jon Stewart Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me Dexter's Laboratory and even earned a Tony nomination for their work on SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical.

Starting in 2002 with the album "No!" they found success in creating children's music alongside their regular rock-oriented albums.

They've remained remarkably prolific releasing three albums in 2018: "I Like Fun" "My Murdered Remains" and "The Escape Team."
