SkyPoint Climb | Q1 Building
For sweeping views of the greater Surfers Paradise region, climb atop Australia's highest external building and one of Queensland's most recognised land marks; the Q1 Tower with SkyPoint Climb.
Rising to an impressive 270 metres the SkyPoint Climb is a 90 minute adventure from beginning to end and is a definite must for visitors to the region. Providing unmatchable views of the region, the peak of Q1 will give you views stretching over the coastline and over to the Gold Coast Hinterland.
Before you can embark on your ascent up the tower, you must undergo a safety briefing at the SkyPoint Climb Mission Control on the ground floor of the building. Here, you'll be fitted with a protective suit and connected to the world class safety system which includes a full body harness and full-arrest device to maximise your safety.
The next stop on the adventure is the launch platform located on level 77. Reached via SkyPoint's high speed elevator the launch platform features an enclosed glass airlock which acts as your entry to the outside of this iconic building. The journey begins at a height of 240 metres above street level, and after one final safety check you'll soon be on your way up the tower.
The length of the climb reaches around 50 metres and the peak is reached via a purpose built stairway. Connected to the safety rail with your full body harness, you'll be led all of the way up by one of the experienced guides to the top walkway where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Gold Coast.
Your experienced Climb Leader is there to point out some of the city's major highlights including it's geographical, historical and cultural landmarks. The peak of the climb sits at a towering 270 metres above sea level and provides climbers with uninterrupted, 360 degree views of the greater Gold Coast region - a truly unique view.
Before beginning your descent back down the tower, you'll be treated to group and individual photos as well as having the chance to casually chat to your Leader while standing - what feels like - on top of the world.
