The Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum is home to the largest collection of Australian dinosaur fossils in the world.

The Museum is split between three facilities, the Fossil Preparation Laboratory, Collection Room and Dinosaur Canyon.

The Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum is 24km south-east of Winton, 600km south-west of Townsville.

MUSEUM HOURS


Winter
Open seven days a week in winter (1 April to 31 October)
Monday to Sunday, 8.30am to 5pm
Tours depart on the hour: 9am, 10am 11am 12pm, 1pm and 2pm.*

Summer
Open six days a week in summer (1 November to 31 March)
Monday to Saturday, 8am to 5pm (Closed Sundays)
Tours depart on the hour: 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm.*

*Arrive 15 minutes before the tour commences.

TOUR OPTIONS


Ultimate Dinosaur tour

The Ultimate Dinosaur tour includes a guided tour of the Collection Room, Fossil Preparation Laboratory, the March of the Titanosaurs exhibition and a self-guided walk of Dinosaur Canyon. Duration: 3 to 4 hours.

Winton Dinosaur Capital of Australia VIP pass

This combination pass includes admission and guided tour of the Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum (Ultimate Dinosaur tour) and Dinosaur Stampede National Monument at Lark Quarry Conservation Park. Duration: Recommended over two days.

Australia's Dinosaur Trail pass (four attractions in one)

This pass includes a guided tour of the Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum (Winton) and Dinosaur Stampede National Monument (Winton); and admission to Kronosaurus Korner (Richmond) and Flinders Discovery Centre (Hughenden).

The Gondwana Stars Observatory

This ticket includes an immersive naked-eye viewing tour with telescope-viewing opportunities at the end of each experience.

Entry prices are $75 Adult, $70 Seniors, $45 child. (tours extra)
